2024 CAMP SEASON information
Registration form found below. PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION THOROUGHLY before filling out form!
We are happy to announce the information for the upcoming 2024 season. As always, we adhere to all government mandates and Archdiocesan protocols in regards to health and safety. While we do our part to ensure and provide a wholesome faith-filled experience for our staff and campers, we ask for your cooperation and understanding for any changes we make to our programming. Especially for the instances out of our control (ie mandates, weather, vendor services) we will communicate any changes as quickly as we can and 'maneuver' around any obstacle keeping our staff and campers' best interest in mind.

A LITTLE NOTE ABOUT OUR REGISTRATIONS
To Our SummerDaze Family - We aim to remain the best camp in all of the GTA (🙂) while ensuring the health and safety of our campers and staff. It is one challenge after another. We understand that the cost of living is only rising, and we do everything we can to keep our costs competitive and as low as possible. Know that we do all we can to offer your children the best camp experience.
Naturally, it remains a 'first registered first served' approach on Friday May 3rd and a waiting list is created if needed.
If camp is full you will be called and will be offered a spot on the waiting list.
If you do not receive a phone call that means your application has been accepted.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding!

HEALTH and SAFETY including
CODE OF CONDUCT SummerDaze will continue to comply with and meet all health and safety guidelines outlined by Toronto Public Health, the Archdiocese of Toronto, and provincial regulations for day camps and places of worship. Camper and staff safety is our utmost priority. As such, we will communicate any changes in guidelines. Health and Safety also refers to the conduct, actions and behaviours of all involved and take part in SummerDaze. We have a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy against bullying, violence, harassment of any kind, racism, stealing, vandalism and drugs or alcohol on camp properties. Campers are often reminded of the 4 rules of camp which should translate to parents and guardians as well towards each other, the camp staff and parish premises rules. Failure to comply to the rules truly puts other campers at risk and offenders can be removed from camp permanently.
|
CELL PHONE POLICY
We understand that cell phones and devices bring comfort and security to be able to communicate with parents and guardians should there be an emergency. However, PLEASE BE ADVISED that we are a tech-free camp and we will never ask campers to use their devices for any planned activities. The only campers who might be asked to use devices are the seniors, but this is rare. As such, we do NOT take responsibility for any lost or damaged devices. Cell phones can and will be confiscated. Furthermore, campers are prohibited from photographing or recording fellow campers and staff during camp hours especially without consent. Campers who are caught doing so (and posting on social media) can face expulsion from camp. Resist the temptation to do any of this by leaving devices at home. Parents/ Guardians can contact staff and administration through the office line or Parental Note handed in at beginning of day.
|
LATE ARRIVAL or ABSENT
FOR THE DAY? We totally understand... We have our days also. Tired, not feeling well, doctors appointments, spur of the moment family outing, accidentally slept-in because camp was so amazingly-exhausting the day before (😁)... we totally understand. We take daily attendance in the morning when the whistle blows assuming that we will see all of our beloved campers. If you know your camper will be late or absent:
PLEASE, PLEASE phone and LEAVE A VOICEMAIL with the camp administrators ahead of time (before 8:30am) - (416) 743-3830 ext 6. Please note: We do not refund for absent or late days. See below for further refund policy information. |
WAITLIST
SummerDaze has 3 age groups and in each age group, they are broken down into smaller groups in order to maintain a proper supervisory ratio and a 'homebase' for each camper (i.e. attendance throughout the day, snack numbers, swimming, etc.). Should the age groups cap at a maximum at the time you register, we will contact you whether you would like to be added onto the waitlist. Families are given until the WEDNESDAY of the previous week to opt out of their registered week; after which, we offer the spot to those on the waitlist starting from the top.
|
REFUND POLICY
On Payment Registration Day, ALL payment is due. Should you need to separate payments we would like to suggest pay weekly. Week 1 is dated when registration payment is due! Weeks 2,3,4 can be post dated to two weeks prior to that camp week (i.e. Week 2 cheques can be dated for July 1 2024,
Week 3 dated for July 8 2024, and Week 4 dates for July 15 2024). Request for refunds and cancellations after 4pm on the WEDNESDAY prior to the week the camper is registered to attend will result in a $50 late cancellation fee. |
WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
A newsletter will be emailed to the registered campers a week before the beginning of the camp week. Parents, please read it through so that you are aware of what is coming up, any special events, change of times, new activities etc. It would be wise to pack a set of clean/dry clothes every day in the event of inclement weather or any accidents. The newsletter will contain other information regarding traffic around the church property, upcoming trips, perhaps any mandates or changes to mandates to adhere to. Thank you in advance for your attention.
